Norbulingka Institute is a unique institution located in Dharamsala, India that is dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture and promoting it to the world. The institute was established in 1988 by Kelsang and Kim Yeshi, and it is named after the Norbulingka Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.

Situated amidst the beautiful gardens, pools and streams, with views of the mighty Dhauladhar Mountains in the distance, Norbulingka is a peaceful retreat from the bustling world. The buildings are constructed in traditional architectural style.

Losel Doll Museum

The Losel Doll Museum is a unique museum and situated in Norbulingka Institute, that showcases a collection of traditional Tibetan dolls. The museum was founded by Losel Gyatso, a Tibetan artist and activist, who wanted to preserve and promote Tibetan culture through his art.

The Losel Doll Museum features a wide variety of dolls, including ones representing Tibetan nomads, farmers, monks, and royalty. Each doll is handmade and intricately designed, with carefully crafted clothing, accessories, and even facial expressions. The dolls are displayed in dioramas that depict different scenes from Tibetan life, such as weddings, festivals, and daily activities.
