History of Tea Garden-
The history of Tea Garden Dharamshala dates back to the British colonial era in India. In the mid-19th century, the British established tea plantations in various parts of India to meet the increasing demand for tea in Europe. The first tea plantation in this region was set up in the early 1850s by Dr. Jameson, a British civil surgeon, who planted tea seeds brought from China. One such plantation was set up in the Kangra Valley region of Himachal Pradesh, which is now known as Tea Garden Dharamshala.
